stomach bug

I'm 2 weeks out and woke up today with the stomach bug.  I vomited 2 hours after drinking the
carnation instant breakfast.  How else should I get protein in? 
Yesterday I had a scrambled egg and it went down ok.  I'm afraid to have another egg today, since I vomited this morning.  I've been eating sugar free popsicles to keep hydrated.

keep drinking any fluids/popsicles that stay down.  Definitely call your surgeon in the morning to seek advice about protein.  My surgeon loves to ask patients who don't call with a question "is your phone broken?"..  They want you to call!!

Sorry to hear you're sick.  I came down with Strep at week 3 - I had been wondering why I was feeling so tired, when others were feeling great at that point.  Really lousy.  But this too shall pass.   The Nut. at the drs. may recommend yogurt, cottage cheese for protein.  Hydration is very important.  As Sue said, call the dr's office.    That's why they get paid the big bucks!

I was able to eat half of a scrambled egg tonight and it stayed down. 
I will call the Dr in the morning if it continues.

Do whatever you need to do to get in liquids. I had a terrible intestinal virus and ended up spending a day in the ER taking in four liters of fluids. Popsicles are a great way to go.
